We’re two colleagues who loved drinking boba after a long day of classes. Boba cafes around our campus grew in popularity thoughout our time in school. We soon realized the amount of plastics and cost per drink were hurting the environment and our wallets.
We both began to make boba tea at home and we wanted to share with others on how to do the same.
As nature lovers, we absolutely adore animals! Since we know that plastic waste in the ocean harms sea life, we wanted to help a cause for aquatic animals. Since one of us is a Floridian native, and since manatees frequent the southern penisula during winter seasons, we came to be known as ManaTea.
